SO KING FIELDER HAD HIS DAY and Albert Pujols had his standing ovation, but Carl Crawford and the American League left their mark again at the 80th All-Star Game with a tidy 4-3 victory. That's 13 straight All-Star Games without a defeat. Crawford's grab of what would have appeared to be a home run by Brad Hawpe tops the highlight reel of this year's game, earning him MVP honors. How about that? No. 13 helping to clinch 13 straight for the Junior Circuit.

#13 Carl Crawford Helps A.L. Make It 13 Straight

Carl Crawford Steals the Pants off Varitek
SO IMPRESSIVE, YET NOT AT ALL SURPRISING that speedster Carl Crawford ripped off six bags in a single game yesterday, tying a record that had only been reached four other times in major league history—and he didn't even know of it until being interviewed after the game. The Rays actually stole a total of eight bags off of Red Sox captain Jason Varitek with nobody getting caught. Man, what a rough day behind the plate for Varitek who isn't the best at throwing out runners. In one day, Varitek's percentage of throwing out runners dropped from 28% to 21%. In other words, he had the pants stolen off him!Thursday, March 26, 2009
David Price Is Not Right...yet!

SOMEDAY IN THE NEAR FUTURE if not already, there will be a t-shirt like the one above sans the word 'not' because the number one overall pick in the 2007 amateur draft not only has a last name that's easy pickings for Chris Berman, he also has the tools to someday be the ace in Tampa Bay's rotation. Nonetheless, it stinks to be sent back down to AAA (by VP of baseball operations Andrew Friedman, pictured above) to start the season when you clearly have big league talent, especially when you closed out Game 7 of the '08 ALCS.
